Care companions and dear friends, I come
particularly liked this your invitation to an event so large, which involves institutions and whole political and educational sectors in Sicily.
This conference has the great merit of bringing attention to the problem characterizing this period: the function of promoting democratic public education done. We put the question That is how and to what extent the Italian school has interpreted and acted in the constitutional right to education. And the coincidence of this reflection with the anniversary of the unity of the nation, charging additional values \u200b\u200bwhich include the need to restore a strong dialogue with young people, an interrupted communication between the generations, even through reflection on current message Risorgimento.
No party, more and better than ours, can fulfill this task. Only one party can truly lay claim to the fairness and impartiality of institutions - public schools most of all - have a duty to accommodate, promote and harmonize the differences, not marginalize and criminalize, and only a truly progressive party may question the constant renewal of an institution like the school to its mission, it must intercept the structural changes of society and turn them into elements positive growth in common only one party towards the future, but with very strong roots firmly planted in the past and may speak on this claim for the centrality of an institution critical to the formation of MP today that tomorrow's generations will be called to active citizenship and conscious, able to deal with an increasingly complex. We therefore hope
good work, effort to keep alive until I have the honor to hold this office, an open and constructive dialogue with all sections of the party who want to confront this issue, through periodic public policy initiatives, in the hope of build a useful and effective way for this party and for the entire nation.
